How Does An Insurance Estimate Work?
Before an insurance company will approve repairs after an accident, it will want the vehicle to be inspected and an estimate to be written. There are one of two ways for this to happen: Either a body shop can complete the estimate and send it to the insurance company, or an insurance adjuster can come and look at the vehicle for himself.
We handle estimates of the first type. When we write an estimate for an insurance company, we make it as thorough as possible, doing a tear-down to inspect hidden damages if we can. We also take photographs of everything to document all damages so the insurance company has a thorough understanding of what repairs will be necessary.
We’ll send this in to your insurer for you, saving you the hassle of filling out any additional paperwork, and once the insurance company approves repairs, we can start work immediately.
